Distance Learning is in everyone's future
Everyday, more and more functions of life move online. Some are in response to public health emergencies or just the need for greater efficiency. Traditional classrooms are no exception. Corporate sales teams, museum curators, the military, and so many other institutions have been using e-learning for years. But K-12 and higher education are now forced to adapt to the distance learning paradigm.
‘Show’ don’t ‘tell’ to keep it interesting and challenging
Some of the best e-learning materials use dialogue to express concepts. Instead of showing, they are telling. It’s like dialogue you would read in a novel. Rather than, “Bob’s been tripping over his words during sales calls and it’s affecting his numbers.” How about, “It’s right when I’m about to ask them to sign the contract that I get nervous,” Bob says. “They sense that, and then I lose the sale.”
The second example is much more relatable because it’s not telling us how to feel. Carl Bishop’s acting training and experience makes these dramatic scenes interesting and believable. When it comes to e-learning voice over, Carl is the best in the business.
